Admissions and Eligibility

Admission is by invitation as an incoming freshman. High school students who apply to and are accepted at Michigan State are invited to join the Drew program if they meet the following criteria:

  • They are in the top 20% of their high school graduating class.

AND

  • They have either an ACT composite score of at least 20 or an SAT total score of at least 950.
  • Intent to study the sciences.
  • Willingness to commit to the program.
  • Status as a member of a group that historically have produced few scientists and mathematicians.

Those who do not meet, but come close to, these standards are screened by the Drew Admissions Committee and may be asked to submit additional information before being considered for the Drew program college membership.
