Michigan State University

Chemistry

The chemistry component features supplementary review sessions to accompany the first two years of chemistry lectures and recitations. These review sessions are commonly known as tutorial assistant in chemistry (TAC). Chemistry graduate students lead the sessions.

Goals of the chemistry program consist of an opportunity to gain a more thorough mastery of the material covered in the lectures and preparation for more advanced work in chemistry and the other sciences. This is accompanied by intensive problem solving and discussion of supplementary materials, serving to enhance and broaden a growing knowledge base. TAC is supplementary in nature. Handouts, worksheets, and other materials are used to enhance the subjects covered in class..
