Mathematics

The math component offers comprehensive preparation for advanced math and science courses. Class size is kept small, and review sessions, group study sessions, instructor/student conferences, and tutorial sessions are crucial elements of the courses.

Full-time faculty members of the mathematics department teach the math course in sequence. These courses are conducted in the framework of a Mathematical Learning System (MLS). Instructors, graduate student teaching assistants, undergraduate teaching assistants, and peer tutors work together providing an integrated program where guidance and mentoring is considered at all phases to address both academic and social needs.
